Our journey has been a shared one, rooted in a deep passion for education and the belief that every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Having spent our careers as educators in a variety of settings—from UK state schools and private independent schools to the dynamic world of online education—we saw firsthand the limitations of a “one-size-fits-all” approach and knew there had to be a better way.
We founded Crownwell to be that solution. Our vision was to create a school that combines the academic rigour of the British curriculum with the flexibility and true personalisation that modern technology makes possible—a place where a child’s unique spark is nurtured, not lost in a crowd. Crownwell is the culmination of our life’s work, and we are immensely proud to be creating opportunities for the next generation of global leaders.

Amna Jamal, Co-Founder
Amna Jamal is a highly experienced and qualified Math Lecturer in a Further Education College UK, with a passion for creating supportive and effective learning environments. Her extensive career has seen her take on diverse roles within the UK education system.
Amna Jamal’s educational foundation began with a Bachelor of Science. With a deep commitment to inclusive education. Specializing in specific pedagogies, she earned a Montessori Diploma in Primary Education and a Montessori Early Childhood Diploma. Her focus then shifted to formal teaching qualifications, where she obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, leading to her Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status. Most recently, she has advanced her leadership in mathematics education through the NCETM, becoming a Maths Mastery Specialist NCETM and completing the Further Education PD Lead programme NCETM.
Amna Jamal is actively engaged with the specialized mathematics community through her membership in the Maths Hub and NCETM Society. She further demonstrates her commitment to sector-wide standards through her affiliation with the ETF Education and Training Foundation. Additionally, she maintains professional standing as a member of the SET Society for Education and Training, the leading professional body for educators in the sector.
This rich and varied background in pedagogy, mathematics, and special educational needs is the driving force behind Crownwell’s student-centered and highly supportive ethos.
Mr. T. Jamal, Co-Founder
Mr. Jamal is an experienced education leader and entrepreneur with over 30 years of professional experience across education, curriculum development, and business leadership in the UK and internationally. He holds a Master’s degree in Education from Liverpool Hope University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Mathematics.
Alongside his leadership responsibilities at Crownwell, Mr. Jamal contributes to teaching on a limited basis, focusing exclusively on young adult and adult learners (18+). Due to his extensive commitments in academic leadership, curriculum development, and organisational strategy, his teaching activity is confined to specialist areas including business studies, applied mathematics, engineering-related mathematics, and industry and process management.
Mr. Jamal’s professional background spans engineering, manufacturing, and industrial operations, which informs his applied and real-world approach to post-18 and professional education. His teaching supports learners preparing for higher education, apprenticeships, and professional progression.
At Crownwell, Mr. Jamal’s primary role is academic leadership, curriculum architecture, and quality assurance. Day-to-day teaching across other programmes is delivered by appropriately qualified teaching staff, while his own teaching involvement remains focused on adult and professional pathways.
